Sr. Account Executive

Responsibilities:

What are the requirements?
- A minimum of 4 years of successful sales experience in a technology software company is required
- Strong self starter with the desire and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced
technology startup; open to creative business ideas; a natural-born leader and
pioneer willing to explore new markets and ideas
- Average size of deals closed for past 2 years >$50K
- Met monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives at least 3 out of last 4 years
- Past experience with SaaS or on demand application software companies selling to mid and large accounts
- Proven success in penetrating new markets and closing new business
- Ability to build rapport, establishing trust and credibility through a consultative approach, and balance assertive sales follow-up
- An understanding of HRIS, Payroll, and HCM solutions in a direct sales capacity is preferred
- Fast learner who is results-driven with proven ability to sell and project a positive, professional attitude
- Proven ability to increase deal size and accelerate the buying process
- Ability to accurately forecast based upon realistic opportunity assessments

Payroll Product Manager
The product manager (PM) plays an integral role in ensuring that Ascentis Payroll supports the
company's overall strategy and sales goals. The PM is responsible for leading
product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle of Ascentis Payroll.
In addition, the PM’s role includes supporting our sales efforts by providing a deep
understanding of the payroll process, the Ascentis Payroll product, and an ability to create
solutions that meet the needs of the prospect.
General Requirements:
- 5+ years of previous product management experience in a technology company
- 5+ years of experience working with payroll or payroll product
- Self-starter; needs to be able to work independently
- Well organized--able to track work items to completion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills so as to be able to work in a team oriented environment

Duties/Expectations:
The PM will team with development, sales and marketing, client Services, and
operations to
define, develop, market, sell and deliver Ascentis Payroll and the Ascentis value proposition.
Development: The PM is an active member of the payroll development team and helps deliver high
quality and timely product releases that maintain targeted client satisfaction goals. Specific
activities include:
- Gathering market, client, and IT infrastructure needs and defining the vision for Ascentis Payroll.
Translating this vision into detailed requirements for future products with corresponding priority and business
justification.
- Translate requirements into wireframes and user stories.
- Assist development with project management.
- Create and implement detailed product launch plans.
- Research and manage compliance issues.
Sales and Marketing: The PM will be an expert with respect to payroll and the Ascentis
Payroll product to play an active supporting role in helping to drive sales. Specific
activities include:
- Evangelizing and educating sales and marketing on new product features and benefits, highlighting
competitive positioning to differentiate the product in the market.
- Providing first line support for detailed product questions from sales and marketing staff.
- Acting in sales engineer role in sales opportunities including assistance with product
questions and developing solutions that meet client requirements.
- Providing product training and product information to sales and marketing staff.
- Assist senior management with developing and maintaining pricing and packaging strategies.
- Supporting marketing in the creation of product collateral, website content, and other
promotional materials that require details on product functionality and benefits.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to deliver detailed differentiation and positioning
reviews for sales and marketing.
Client Services: The PM will engage with client services by conducting product training and will ensure that
the voice of the client and our client services representatives is heard and understood by our development staff.
Specific activities include:
- Educating client services on new product features and technical capabilities.
- Assisting with support escalations by ensuring that issue details and priority is properly understood by
development.
- Engaging with client services to seek their input on product specifications and stack ranking activities
IT/Operations: The PM will work with the IT/operations staff to ensure the quality, performance, and
reliability of Ascentis Payroll. Specific activities include:

Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager is a key member of the Finance & Administration team with
responsibility for all areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting. Reporting to
the CFO, this is highly visible position that is responsible for establishing and maintaining
accounting practices to ensure accurate and timely financial data as required for business
operations. Operating primarily in a hands-on mode, the accounting manager will also
supervise a small staff.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manages general accounting functions, including billing
- Drives and implements monthly financial close and preparation of financial statements
- Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting process
- Administers company accounting systems / software
- Provides tight management of receivables
- Analyzes revenues, expenses, and cash flows to support management decision-making
- Takes a lead role in budget and forecasting activities
- Supports information needs of other departments
- Works with CFO and retained CPA firm to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit
- Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met
Requirements
- BA/BS with an emphasis in Accounting
- Minimum of 7 years hands-on experience in accounting or related field
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP
- Strong analytical and systems skills; must be able to analyze and troubleshoot the flow
of financial data between different components of the accounting system; familiarity with
Intacct and/or Salesforce.com is a plus
- Prior experience with an accounting system conversion is a must
- Must be PC proficient; advanced capability in Excel is required
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of direction
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines

Payroll Client Support
The position will take work direction from the Client Support Manager and Assistant Manager as well as clients.
This position is responsible for:
- Interacting and supporting clients via telephone and emails on a daily basis.
- Resolving client concerns and problems related to payroll and system issues.
- Making changes or additions to client setup when requested and proposing possible solutions.
- Keeping updated on payroll system and program changes. Updating clients on changes and being proactive by contacting clients that may be interested in the change or that have been waiting on the change.
- Report writing.
- Working with programming to explain client specific program requirements and testing the programs.
- Researching and testing system issues to determine if they are specific to the client or to the entire payroll system.
- Reconciling and balancing quarterly and year-end reports.
